Valeri Skliarov honoured by the Tallinn University of Technology
Researcher from DETI receives Honoris Causa Doctorate in Estonia

Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia, awarded the honoris causa doctorate degree to Valeri Skliarov. The award given to the researcher of the Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics Department (DETI) of the University of Aveiro recognises the contribution of Valeri Skliarov for the development of research and teaching in the field of microelectronics and computer sciences in that higher education institution. A contribution that has resulted in a strengthened international position of the Faculty of Information Technology of the Tallinn University of Technology through the publication of several joint scientific studies.

Born in 1950, in Novosibirsk, Russia, Valeri Skljarov is since 1994 a lecturer at DETI. Internationally recognized in the field of microelectronics and specialist in computer sciences, Valeri Skljarov has already participated in various international projects, published more than twenty books and more than 300 articles, participated in more than one hundred international conferences and symposia and collaborated with several European and American universities.
