De 28 de setembro e 12 de outubro estão abertas candidaturas a uma bolsa de investigação na área da Biomedicina, no âmbito do projeto “Protein-protein interactions as drug targets: modulation of Phosphoprotein Phosphatase 1 complexes in male fertility” (PTDC/BBB-BQB/3804/2014).

EDITAL PARA A ATRIBUIÇÃO DE BOLSAS NO ÂMBITO DE PROJECTOS E INSTITUIÇÕES DE I&D

A call is open for recruitment of one researcher to collaborate in the project “Protein-protein interactions as drug targets: modulation of Phosphoprotein Phosphatase 1 complexes in male fertility”, with the reference PTDC/BBB-BQB/3804/2014, funded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia I.P. (Orçamento de Estado) and by COMPETE 2020 – Programa Operacional Competitividade e Internacionalização, (FEDER):

Research Area: Biomedicine

Candidate profile: The candidate should preferably hold a BSc in Biochemistry, Biomedicine or related areas with a minimum grade of 16, a MSc in the same area with a minimum grade of 18. The candidate should have experience in male reproduction and signal transduction. The candidate should also have autonomy in laboratory work and good knowledge of English.

Workplan: The main goal of the study is to identify modulators capable of selectively disrupting/stabilizing PPP1 complexes in order to modulate PPP1 function and ultimately affect specifically sperm motility. In the context of this research grant we intend to:1. Evaluate the impact of the modulators in PPP1 complexes disruption and sperm function.

Place of work: The work will be carried out at the Institute for Biomedicine, University of Aveiro, under the supervision of Professor Margarida Fardilha from University of Aveiro (Portugal).

 

Duration of fellowships: The fellowships are for 7 months and starting on November 2018.

 

Monthly allowance: The monthly allowance is €980, according to the regulations of FCT (http://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores) and will be paid every month through bank transfer, check or other equivalent way.

 

Selection method: Candidates CVs and recommendation letters will be evaluated to select up to 5 candidates for interview. Evaluation of the curriculum, focused on academic profile, training and experience in the area and techniques of interest, will have a weight of 60% and the interview 40%.

Notification of results: Candidates will be ordered according to their final evaluation and notified of the final results by email up to 30 week days after the call deadline.
