Students from DEGEIT win GRACE Academy 2017
Alunas do DEGEIT vencem Academia GRACE 2017
Ana Costa, Inês Soares and Bruna Pinto, 2nd-year students of the Licenciatura (1st cycle degree) in Management of the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism (DEGEIT) win the 1st prize of GRACE Academy 2017. On the podium, in 3rd position ex aequo, were also same year and same degree students Ana Carolina Almeida, Karyna Kozitska and Lia Martins. The prizes were awarded by the President of the Jury and Director-General for Higher Education, João Queiroz, at a ceremony held in the Salão Nobre of the Museu da Carris, Lisbon, on 4 July.

There was a total number of 50 submissions, 45 of which have been accepted, which represents the effort of 111 students.

Other awarded institutions include the work of students from ISCSP – University of Lisbon (2nd position), European University (3rd position Ex aequo), and Polytechnic Institute of Porto (special mention).

GRACE Academy is an annual competition in the field of social responsibility. Manuel Au-Yong Oliveira, teacher and member of the Executive Committee of DEGEIT, has coordinated the work done by these two teams of awarded students from DEGEIT.

The awards include a diploma and a traineeship period in a firm associated to GRACE.
