Impacts of fires on the aquatic systems are debated in a workshop
On 21st September, the Firetox project , coordinated by the Centre for Environemental and Marine Studies (CESAM), carries out a workshop focused on fires. From 9.30 onwards, in the auditorium of the Department of Geosciences, UA, discussion will start around issues related to impacts of forest fires on the quality of water and on aquatic species, threats and challenges faced by the Mediterranean rivers, new approaches to reduce surface run-off and soil erosion and the importance of monitoring. Registrations close on 17th September.
