Advanced Workshop Studies in Ecology, Biodiversity and Ecosystem management
"Ecosystem services provided by wetlands: Anthropogenic impacts and environmental chemistry" is the name of the one-week workshop, to take place from May 6th to 10th in the university of Aveiro's Department of biology, with the objective of providing knowledge on the environmental biogeochemical processes supporting the ecosystem services provided by wetlands.

The course is addressed to PhD and M.Sc. students with a background in Biology, Natural and Environmental Sciences, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Engineering or related fields.

• Types  of wetlands

• Ecosystem Services

• Wetland services and Human well-being

• Biogeochemical processes supporting wetland services

• Anthropogenic impacts on wetlands services

• Multiple stressors affecting wetland services

• Wetlands management and restoration

A combination of lectures and case studies will be presented and discussed

Course Fees

Normal course fee- 350 Euros

Discount fee - 300 Euros (Students*)

*Students registered at PhD programmes offered by dbio will have their fees assumed by the department
