Palestra ‘The entrepreneurial University: present and future research perspectives’
No próximo dia 19 de janeiro, pelas 14h30, na sala 10.1.11, a Professora Maribel Guerrero, da Northumbria Newcastle Business School, vai apresentar a palestra ‘The entrepreneurial University: present and future research perspectives’.

Esta visita insere-se no âmbito do projeto de investigação “Universidade empreendedora: o caso da Educação superior em Portugal e o seu impacto na competitividade regional”,  financiado pela FCT.

Biography Maribel Guerrero

Dr. Guerrero is Associate Professor in Northumbria Newcastle Business School. She holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management and Master’s degree in Business Economics Research from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain).

Previously, she was a researcher at the Department of Strategy in Deusto Business School and post-doctoral researcher at the Basque Institute of Competitiveness (Basque Country, Spain). She holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management and Master’s degree in Business Economics Research from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain).

Her main research interests are focused on the conditioning factors of entrepreneurship inside existing organizations (e.g., entrepreneurial universities, academic entrepreneurship, corporate entrepreneurship, intrapreneurial employees) and in the link between entrepreneurial activities and socio-economic development in different contexts. She has several scholarly international publications in leading journals such as Research Policy, Small Business Economics, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, Journal of Technology Transfer, among others. She has been guest editor of several special issues regarding entrepreneurial universities, technology transfer and corporate entrepreneurship.

She has participated in international research projects such as member of the Spanish Technical Direction Team of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) and the Panel Studies of Entrepreneurial Dynamics (PSED).She has developed some initiatives such as the Spanish Observatory of University Entrepreneurship and Case Studies for the OCDE’s HEInnovative platform.
